Creating the Woman That I Want To Be

We are creating ourselves in real time.

Here are 5 tips on the process of self growth and creation:

1. Continue to observe yourself. You will find that many of your responses and actions are echoes of others. We are human and learn by example.

2. Surround yourself with those you strive to be like. Energy is contagious.

3. Be patient. You will notice how far you have to go, but this is absolutely part of the process.

4. Repeat your intention to become your best self. This reminder will set the tone for your day.

5. Enjoy the process.

Recently, after observing some tendencies that I am not entirely proud of, I took hold of my thoughts and honed in on the woman that I want to be.

This woman is not a fictitious character, rather she is me. I get to continually work on myself and bring out the best version of me. I get to sculpt and carve my character. With the proper tools and practice, this task becomes fun and exciting.

Yes, this takes work, but what else is more important than this ongoing project?

Who do you want to be? Are you exhibiting that person now? If not, what do you need to do to become her?

I wrote this poem on the topic:

“i am the woman that i create”

when i take responsibility

for my life,

i feel powerful.

i become the hero of my story.

this brings the flow of life

to me

and sets the framework

for proper action and work.

i am creating the woman

that i want to be.

i am becoming my own hero.

this thesis drives

every decision that i make.

it evokes rational optimism,

confidence

and strength;

because at all times

i know my intention.
